Emergency Oxygen System

The Problem

An aircraft avionics manufacturer came to TES-i seeking to develop the first software-controlled emergency oxygen control system for an airliner to help reduce size and weight.

The Solution

TES-i designed, developed, tested, and certified the operation flight program (OFP) per FAA DO-178B Level B that controlled the amount of oxygen required using minimal volume.

Project Highlights

TES-i provided full lifecycle development, from PSAC through SAS, and provided DO-178B training to the customer. TES-i also developed, manufactured, and tool qualified (per DO-178B/DO-330) the automated test equipment, structural coverage tool, and integration test equipment. Most of the testing employed automated testing to reduce cost and schedule.
