The APRU unit is a compact, temperature-controlled blood and medicine transport device for military and commercial first responders. It contains one of the smallest compressors in the world, which can run for up to three days on advanced battery technology in even the most extreme environments.

Medipacs Disposable Infusion Pump

The Problem

Medipacs required a prototype to demonstrate a new polymer actuated technology for a disposable intravenous infusion pump to replace a more expensive electric motor driven technology.

The Solution

TES-i collaborated to develop and build a digital control system to manage the polymer based actuators.
